Born in Newark, N.J., and reared on Staten Island, N.Y., Perry studied at New York University for a degree in Cinema Studies. He has served on the board as Co-President of the American Society of Picture Professionals and on the Local Area Board for Pacifica Radio Network’s WBAI in New York. In addition to his professional work, he develops personal media projects for the web and volunteers his publicity services to community groups and non-profit organizations.
